THE BIOGRAPHY OF THE MODERN BIKE – CHRIS BOARDMAN

Released: 2015

Known as the ‘The Professor’, Chris Boardman is famed for his technical mind when it came to his race preparation and detailed attention in training. That meticulous focus and determination led him to winning a number of Olympic medals, wearing the Yellow jersey on several occasions and also being awarded an MBE in 1993.

Between the years of 1997 and 2014 the Scottish cyclist rode for two different teams Cofidis and Garmin-Sharp. Within these years he became a well-decorated rider winning stages in the Tour de France, Vuelta de España and Giro d’Italia and also became the British national Road Champion in 2007.

A former racing cyclist and established journalist Richard Moore is the writer behind many well-known titles such as ‘Heroes, Villains & Velodromes: Chris Hoy and Britain’s Track Cycling Revolution‘ and ‘Slaying the Badger’. He doesn’t fail to disappoint in this record of Sky’s ascent to power in the cycling history books.

CHRIS HOY – CHRIS HOY

Following three incredible Gold Medals at the Beijing Olympics and also being awarded Sports Personality of the Year, Sir Chris Hoy collected his Knighthood decided he wasn’t finished just yet. At the London Olympics in 2012 Hoy added to his tally of medals making him one of the most decorated British Olympians of all time.
